Payment Policy

This policy outlines the payment and billing terms for Pluto marketplace transactions.

1. Supported Payment Methods

Pluto supports cash-on-delivery (COD), direct UPI transfers, and simulated online checkouts. All transactions are logged in our backend ledger.

2. COD & Direct UPI Transactions

For COD or direct UPI transactions, the buyer pays the vendor directly. The vendor is responsible for confirming the payment in the app, which logs the transaction as `COD_MANUAL` and updates the payment status to `PAID`.

3. Subscription Billing & Tiers

Vendors pay recurring fees for Silver, Gold, or Platinum tiers. Subscription fees are billed every 30 days. Payments are logged to the platform treasury ID (`00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000`). Downgrading to the Free tier will deactivate listings that exceed the free limit.

4. Transaction Ledger Integrity

All transactions write immutable ledger rows containing payment methods, amounts, and statuses. These entries are preserved in an anonymized format for auditing and tax compliance after account deletion.
